As a Senior Software Development Engineer at ARETUM, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for our federal clients.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Full-Stack Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. 
• Improve applications’ stability and maintainability by leveraging the capabilities of emerging technologies; also meet business goals and operational requirements. 
• Providing technical expertise to the application development team 
• Performing design and code reviews 
• Collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements. 
• Code and design working solutions and troubleshoot system issues. 
• Analysis, design, build and implementation of end-to-end solution delivery. 
• Experienced PHP, JavaScript and CSS developer who understands application design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in WordPress environment. 
• Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch and provide support to the existing systems as needed. 
• Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large multi-tiered applications preferably in the federal government setting. 
• Ensure UI meets Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at AA level.

Requirements

• 10 + Years of experience in Software Development (PHP and WordPress required) 
• 3+ Years of experience using web-based technologies (PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3) 
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a remote team environment. 
• Must have PHP, WordPress, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 development expertise. 
• Solid understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.X compliance requirements
• Security+ certification
