ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Project Manager supports the Director of Operations with both regional/national projects. In this role the Project Manager will lead projects across the BI, EHB and PCS business lines working with department leads and others to guarantee a successful on time outcome. These projects are crucial to creating better alignment, efficiencies, and essential best practices.
Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Coordinate and prioritize project tasks to ensure key milestones are achieved on schedule.
- Coordinating staff and internal resources.
- Provide support to the project team, including assisting with goals and deliverables.
- Perform queries (report system & Excel) and data analysis to determine issues, draw conclusions, problem solve and make recommendations.
- Generate reports for data clean-up, quality control, data health check and data metrics.
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Supports operational reporting changes/needs for field.
- Compile, organize and assess operational data.
- Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five years of relevant insurance industry work experience preferred.
- Appropriate, current insurance license as applicable preferred.
- Must have excellent analytical skills, as well as superior database skills
- AMS 360 experience a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
