EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
2024/2025 School Year
Full-Time, 9-Month Position, Non-Exempt
Reports directly to Director of ESS

SUMMARY:
The Instructional Aide assists teachers in a variety of ways to implement the instructional program, including working directly with children in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides aid in the classroom to teachers regarding special needs children.
Helps teachers with curriculum and instruction as needed.
In conjunction with the Director of ESS, Principal and the Teachers, monitors recess time and arrival and dismissal times.
Assists in various other areas as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the administration.
Supervises students visually and audibly during required duty times and assure the safety of all students in the school.
Provides supervision of students during nonacademic times (i.e. breaks, lunch, detention, etc. and/or other assignments).
Enforces rules and provide appropriate response to student misconduct in a safe and respectful manner.
Assists the classroom teacher with curriculum implementation.
Assists in the administration of academic programs for classroom students.
Incorporates Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) into the general curriculum (when appropriate).
Participates in and be prepared for any IEP meeting (When appropriate).
Is knowledgeable of and implements PLC Charter School policies and procedures.
Completes any/all tasks assigned by the Special Education Director, Site Director and or classroom teacher.
Provides suggestions/input on the selection of instructional materials and resources.
Attends all mandatory meetings.
Is knowledgeable of Arizona State Standards and insure said standards are maintained.
Responsible for lunch set up and dispersal. Responsible for cleanup of lunchroom in between lunch sessions and after lunch.
Coordinates with teachers regarding making copies, getting supplies and books, and any other related activities deemed appropriate by administration.
All other duties as assigned by the Director of ESS and/or Principal.
