JOB SUMMARY

This position will contribute to American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV) unbeatable global product portfolio to the U.S. market. ARV specializes in tracked and wheeled combat vehicle platforms, tactical wheeled vehicles, and associated subsystems. ARV is able to leverage advanced capabilities from across the Rheinmetall enterprise to enhance its next-generation vehicles with solutions such as 360° situational awareness technologies, AI-based target detection and recognition, imaging processing, and interoperability.

This position will support the engineering deliverables for design and implementation focusing on combat and lethality that will ensure effective defeat of threats on the future battlefield while working on Next Generation Combat Vehicle/Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (NGCV/OMFV) program.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction are maintained by working closely with senior Engineering professionals to evaluate and monitor potential risk of existing suppliers against company and customer requirements
  • Read, understand, and adhere to customer standards
  • Recommend senior Engineering staff on systems integration, development programs studies, problems, and equipment.
  • Perform feasibility testing to define continuous improvement opportunities to address systems integration problems
  • Contribution of product life cycle through phases of completion of Next Generation Combat Vehicle/Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (NGCV/OMFV) program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling tools software

Education

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • Experience or classroom knowledge of design and analysis.
  • 0-2 years of engineering experience in the defense or automotive industry.

Background Prerequisites

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred mechatronics background
