Accounting Specialist

WENTZVILLE, MO


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting and 4+ years of consistent experience in an accounting-related area.


• Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) as they apply to financial reporting.

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and accounting records as needed to make reporting decisions.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Experience with SAP, HFM, Coupa a plus

• Communicating and tracking capital expenditures with department managers

• Forecasting capital expenditures in balance sheet and cash flow

• Tracking and analyzing purchase orders, invoices, etc. for capital projects

• Placing fixed assets into service in Fixed Asset System and forecasting depreciation

• Maintaining fixed asset ledger & reviewing idle assets

• Understanding bill of materials & CBR (component-based releases)

• Supporting Cost Analysis team's functions

• Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close

• Supporting financial forecast and budget preparation

• Performing financial variance analysis and trend analysis for income statement and balance sheet

• Participating in SOX compliance, internal, & external audits

• Leading quarterly bill of material audits for finished goods

• Assisting with annual budget preparation

• Researching and resolving accounting issues with applicable departments
