Job Description:

Senior Media Relations Manager - $170k to $200k - NYC (Hybrid)

One of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Media Relations Manager, working within the Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility team. You will manage the delivery of external communications activity across a range of businesses, alongside supporting the creation and delivery of the external communications strategy and plan.

What will you be doing?
  • Global media strategy for the company's Corporate and Investment Bank business
  • Partnerships with key editors, influencers and columnists
  • Developing a comprehensive external communications plan which aligns to the business strategy
  • Leading strategic media meetings with company spokespeople
  • Evaluating media coverage relating to Corporate and Investment Bank businesses as well as assisting with quarterly coverage reports for the business

What skills do you need?
  • PR experience, gained either in a PR agency or in-house environment
  • Relationships with news outlets - primarily Bloomberg, the WSJ, Reuters and the Financial Times
  • Experience working in financial services
  • Working knowledge of US national, regional and trade media
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Economics, or a closely related field is preferred
  • Delivering and executing creative campaigns and press office activity to build advocacy and reputation

The role is paying circa $170k - $200k plus excellent package.
