QuantumScape is seeking an experienced and highly motivated battery test engineer. You will work in our state-of-the art lab, developing new test methods and characterization techniques that probe performance and guide improvements to our solid-state battery fabrication processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS • PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, applied physics, or related field preferred or MS with a minimum of 3 years experience in materials research and development or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in materials research and development • Proficiency in device testing and characterization • Ability to communicate clearly and candidly; strong affinity for teamwork • Comfortable working in a glovebox, dry room, or fume hood • References can attest to your curiosity, problem solving, and integrity • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt quickly to change • You share our passion for our mission
HIGHLY DESIRED: • Hands-on experience with battery testing equipment and electrochemical test methods • Knowledge of statistical approaches for analyzing large datasets • Fluency in scripting languages for data analysis • Familiarity with electrochemistry or energy storage-related technologies
This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $123,700 to 198,000, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
