Job Description:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conduct assigned manufacturing data gathering and analysis to synthesize recommendations for project output and follow-on investigation


• Manage scoped project tasks and timing to achieve prioritized deliverables


• Actively communicate with stakeholders closest to the project content, gaining insight through interviews, observation and connections to datasets


• Communicate findings and recommendations across the regions, functions and hierarchies


• Coordinate handoffs to other Engineers, as appropriate

NATURE AND SCOPE

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Intern will report to the Global Director, Advanced Manufacturing Technology.   As part of the Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology department, the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Intern will have directed interaction with all regions’ manufacturing plants, regional Manufacturing Engineering and Global Engineering.  This position does not have direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Actively pursuing Bachelor or Master of Science in an Engineering discipline; Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical preferred. Third- or Fourth- year or beyond preferred.


• Experience with data analysis tools and familiarity with programming languages a plus


• Demonstrated self-direction in past projects


• Intellectually curious


• Demonstrated STEM skill and achievement


• Accomplish tasks through collaboration


• Excellent communication skills
