Retail Sales Associate at Best Buy in Bloomington, Minnesota

Job Description:

As a Retail Sales Associate at our new virtual store, you’ll help us shape the future of retail by bringing the experience of shopping at a Best Buy store to customers on BestBuy.com and the Best Buy app. You will work in a store-like studio setting while interacting with online shoppers via chat, video or audio call. You’ll provide live product demonstrations and answer questions to help customers choose the right tech to meet their needs. (Don’t worry, we’ll give you all the training and support you need to become an expert.)

This role is also a great opportunity for aspiring content creators. The Retail Sales Associates at our virtual store are sometimes asked to appear in official Best Buy content, such as unboxing videos on YouTube (almost 500,000 subscribers).

Please note that you’ll need to work on-site at our virtual store. You must live within drivable distance to Bloomington, Minnesota, to be eligible.

What you'll do

• Engage with online customers in a warm and friendly manner via chat, video and audio calls


• Combine your passion for customer service and technology to help shoppers make purchases


• Serve as a brand ambassador for an assigned product category or vendor partner, such as Microsoft, Google PC, Verizon, home theater, appliances, fitness, cameras/drones, smart home, connected car, etc.


• Achieve sales goals and standards of performance


• Grow your knowledge and expertise through ongoing learning and self-development


• Provide feedback to grow and evolve our sales strategy

Basic qualifications

• Must be located within drivable distance to Bloomington, Minnesota


• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays


• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills


• Ability to work, thrive and multitask in a fast-paced environment
