Main Purpose
As a Lab Pack Plant Chemist, you will be receiving, identifying, and de-packing lab packs as they enter the facility.
This is a 1st Shift position, Mon-Fri 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Key Job Responsibilities
De-pack lab pack quantities
Perform bulk consolidation and lab pack consolidation
Complete daily compliance inspection
Ensure proper classification, identification, packaging and labelling of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal
Complete all regulatory paperwork to ensure environmental compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures
Sample in-house created materials
Pour off material
Respond to spills and other emergencies
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science or equivalent in applicable work experience required
Hazardous waste experience a plus
Experience operating a forklift preferred
