Senior Project Manager (Healthcare Construction)

Job Description


The
Senior Project Manager (SPM)
Plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing multiple healthcare construction projects. This position requires a seasoned professional who can effectively lead, coordinate, and ensure successful project execution within established budgets, schedules, and quality standards. The SPM collaborates closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Project Leadership and Direction:


    • Provide overall management direction for assigned healthcare construction projects.

    • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules.

    • Organize, control, and monitor project activities.

    • Foster strong client relationships and maintain regular communication.

    • Ensure proper project completion by overseeing construction and financial activities.


  • Team Collaboration and Guidance:


    • Work closely with junior Project Managers and project staff.

    • Collaborate with superintendents and workers to plan and organize construction activities.

    • Lead or assist in estimating potential projects.


  • Project Objectives and Policies:


    • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.

    • Adhere to company policies and contract specifications.

    • Address work procedures, complaints, and construction challenges.


  • Project Control and Execution:


    • Monitor project progress through administrative direction of on-site workers.

    • Investigate and address potentially serious situations.

    • Represent the company in project meetings and strategy sessions.

    • Manage financial aspects of contracts while maintaining positive client relationships.


  • Logistics and Reporting:


    • Procure necessary supplies and materials for project completion.

    • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.

    • Update job reports, including work progress, costs, and scheduling updates.


  • Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction:


    • Ensure that every project is managed to maximize customer satisfaction.

    • Implement project quality control plans.

    • Address punch list items promptly to meet customer expectations.

    • Submit project change orders to clients within a week of request.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager in healthcare construction.

    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and industry best practices.

    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
