Civil Design Project Manager at HAYS in Edison, New Jersey

Job Description:

Top ENR-ranked Engineering firm seeks a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager (Roadway, Highway, Municipal, Transportation) to join their existing team, based in Edison, NJ.


You will perform a wide range of Civil Design activities, while mentoring, training & developing junior Engineers in this rapidly growing team. Proven experience in civil engineering analysis and design relating to Zoning, Site Planning, Stormwater Management, utility layout, pavement and roadway assessment, site ADA compliance, parking analysis and grading design.


Prior experience supporting New Jersey based Public Sector customers such as NJDOT & NJTA, with Roadway, Highway, Municipal and Site/Civil projects will be key to your success. You will support analysis & design activities, interact & engage with local municipalities, utilities, town planning boards and additional customer segments, oversee and review customer design work & project deliverables, represent the firm at applicable networking & industry events.


Prior experience as a Civil Design Engineer or Civil Project Manager in a heavy design role is a must to be considered for the role. For the right person, there is an opportunity to support the leadership in a Seller-Doer capacity and be client facing as a technical lead. A BS Degree in Civil Engineering and a PE License (or ability to secure it within 6 months) is required.


While you will specifically be supporting the New Jersey market, you will be joining a tight-knit national team of ~40 Civil & Structural Engineers, as well as a localized leadership team. Base salary is circa $120k to $180k, plus bonus, 401k, and associated benefits. Enjoy a 3 days office / 2 days home office hybrid position.
