Job Description:

Ardurra is seeking an entry level Survey CAD Technician with 2+ years' experience to join our San AntonioTX team


Primary Function


Candidate would use software to provide support to surveyors by preparing survey exhibits and field data processing. Specific drawing types would include boundary, ALTA/NSPS, land title, easement, topographic, wetland delineation, right-of-way, well location plats, and control surveys associated with land development and municipal projects. Candidate will also aid in deed and courthouse document research and develop deed working sketches.


Primary Duties



  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with surveying and engineering terminology and construction drawings.

  • Candidate should possess mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. The level of responsibility required of the candidate will be based on their level of experience and familiarity with the type of survey.


Education and Experience Requirements



  • Entry-level classification normally requiring an Associate’s degree or high school graduate with vo-tech training in basic drafting technology (or equivalent working knowledge/experience), 2 years of progressive AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Carlson Survey preferred

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred

  • Knowledge of Auto CAD Map 3D preferred

  • Understanding of layer standards

  • Understanding of label and point styles

  • Understanding of surfaces

  • Drafting and developing Boundary, Topographic, Control Sheets and Easement Exhibits
