Kforce has a client in Louisville, KY that is seeking a Controller. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Controlling HQ and Group CFO, the Controller is responsible for successfully enabling standard financial operations for our organization. They will participate in regular operational reporting meetings, and shadow existing processes and functions.
In the first 30 days:
Complete University - you will be able to talk about the company inside and out
Complete a deep dive conversation with the lead of each functional area at both the company and group level
Complete a deep dive with every process owner at the company; This should include conversation with accounting, payroll, and finance
Over the first 90 days:
Assume responsibility for general financial operations of the business
Maintain and track regular budget tracking.
Establish effective reporting processes that are consistent with group standards.
Over the first 6 months and beyond:
Establish managerial reporting according to the group standards
Participate in budgeting and forecasting process
Establish regular tracking of the company performance (vs budgets and forecasts)
Manage cash flows
Supervision over the accounting team
Manage relevant tax considerations
Establish financial reporting to the group including the translation of US GAAP financials into IFRS and Polish GAAP (based on the group standards)
Lead special projects related to the finance function to help establish more accurate and quicker reporting windows
REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of experience as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller/Accounting Manager
Experience with budgeting, cash flow management, analysis, financial reporting (according to local GAAP), forecasting processes
Understanding of differences between US GAAP and IFRS would be an advantage
Experience in IFRS implementation project(s) for IFRS 9, 15 or 16 is an added advantage
Understating of tax regulations and transfer pricing
Good knowledge in the areas of revenue, pricing, margins, etc.
Strong Excel modeling skills
Preferred:
University degree in Finance and/or Economics; ACCA of CIMA courses considered an asset
Prior experience working in the IT or Professional Services industries
Prior experience leading initiatives from ideation to implementation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
