RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Machine Learning in Beaverton, OR.

Summary:
This initiative is to migrate and enhance using relevant technology stack in AWS SageMaker. The objective of this initiative is to develop the right capabilities required for AI/ML pipelines to be migrated to SageMaker from existing legacy stack in Databricks and help the current squad migrate faster and maintain ML models in north star SageMaker architecture.

Our team has Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists. You will work day-to-day with your peers and other squad team members to achieve business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.

Duties:

• Machine Learning will be responsible for enhancing the customer digital experience


• Work directly with our business partners to explore and prove the plausibility of concepts and potential solutions


• A typical day is a mix of hands-on coding, meetings with product managers, and team technical discussions


• Work in a 2-week iteration cycle and follow common Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives


• Migration to Company platform solutions (such as AWS SageMaker) from existing legacy tech stack


• Refactoring, tuning, optimizing, containerization, and productionalizing Company's ML solutions in recommendations domain to Company platform solutions (such as AWS SageMaker)


• Enable ML models testing, validation and automate testing framework


• Collaborate across functional teams (including Consumer Data Sciences, MLOps Core, Platform teams) to deliver ML models in production and enable end to end testing

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer science, Software engineering or other similar or combination of relevant education, experience, and training; Advanced degrees a plus (PhD, Masters, etc.)


• 5 or more years of experience with hands on coding


• Experience in Data Science languages like python, Spark, Scala, etc.


• Experience in distributed platforms that are big data friendly


• Experience with databases, processing, and storage frameworks


• Experience with various hyperparameter tuning approaches and various cloud technologies


• Proven experience with feature engineering


• History of deploying quality code directly into production


• Basic knowledge of AI/ML techniques, i.e., neural networks, tree ensembles, regressions, etc.


• Very strong programming skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
