What you will enjoy doing* (DUTIES)

• Leadglobal civil, structural, and architectural engineering discipline efforts inthe preparation of deliverables in collaboration with Linde Engineering teamand external parties to create procurement, fabrication, construction packagesincluding engineering analysis, calculations, and specifications.


• Performengineering analysis and calculations for civil and structural designs forindustrial structures. Coordinate with the design team to prepare optimizeddesign concept for foundations, equipment structures, and buildings for newfacilities and revamps of existing facilities. Generate design sketches forfeasibility studies and estimates quantities of civil and structural materials.


• Develop engineering criteria or basis of design documents based on currentcodes and standards. Prepare specifications and compile bid packages andcoordinate with procurement and construction from initial quotation to orderexecution for foundations, steel structures, buildings, HVAC, and civil,structural, and architectural related components such as geotechnicalinvestigations, geophysical surveys, ground penetrating radar, sitepreparation, architectural building fabrication including HVAC, andconstruction packages.


• Review vendor and shop drawings for civil, structural,and architectural materials.


• Support procurement, fabrication, and constructionby coordinating resolution of technical issues.


• Lead resolution of issues suchas conflicting design requirements, suitability of materials and performcomplex tasks often requiring development of new designs, processes, ortechniques to develop or adapt designs.

What makes you great (REQTS)

• Musthave a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or arelated field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a relatedposition.


• In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in thestated field of study plus three (3) years of experience.


• Five (5) years ofexperience (or three (3) years in the alternative with a Master's) mustinclude: Civil and structural design and engineering of correspondingcomponents in LNG, Natural Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and IndustrialGas facilities;


• Performing analysis and design of various structural steel andconcrete structures LNG, Natural Gas, Petrochemical and Industrial facilitiesincluding piperacks, platforms/walkways, equipment skids and foundations, silofoundation, pressure vessels foundation, metal building foundation;


• Designingfoundations including straight shaft piers, under-reamed piers, isolatedfooting, continuous footing, mat foundation, driven piles, pole foundation, andslab-on-grade foundation;


• US design codes, standards, and specificationsincluding ACI-318, ASCE 7, AISC, IBC, PIP, OSHA, API;


• Performing analysis ofslender process columns/stacks to determine the support reactions, checkinglocal stresses on pressure vessels, design of base rings, saddle supports, andlifting lugs using Von Karmen analysis, ASTM STS-1, and API 560;


• Performingstructural steel analysis and design using software including Risa 3D,StaadPro, and Versaframe;


• and Modelling structural steel supports, connections,reinforced concrete foundations to preparing drawings packages using AutoCAD,CADWORX or SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Review or Navisworks software.


• License: ActiveProfessional Engineering (PE) License with ability to obtain licenses inmultiple states.


• TRAVEL: 10% domestic and international travelto Linde Offices.
