Position Overview
Hypertherm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to oversee the planning, coordinating, and directing of quality-related activities in our Heavy Industrial Business (HIB) team. Reporting to the Director of Business Team Quality, the Quality Manager position exercises direct leadership over the Business Team Process Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians. Leadership, coaching, and mentoring are important facets of the position. The Quality Manager is a member of the Hypertherm Quality Leadership Team, where enterprise-wide strategic direction is set. The focus is always on our customers and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
Key quality challenges in the immediate future include:
Contribution to the flawless execution of important product launches in 2024;
Managing organizational change within and outside the quality team; and
Development and deployment of a heavy industrial quality strategy that leverages the latest technology ("Quality 4.0").
Who you are and the experience you bring:
Leadership of a Business Team's Process Quality Engineers, helping them to achieve their objectives by coaching and mentoring them to perform beyond what they thought possible;
Leadership of Quality Technician team across all shifts, including performance evaluation, goal setting, developing, coaching, and mentoring.
The ability to set, then transform, quality strategy into actions;
Development and execution of a quality CAPEX plan
Experience working with an overall enterprise metrology strategy, to ensure scaled state of the art capabilities to meet current and future requirements;
Management of a Quality System to ensure compliance to ISO requirements, including documentation, internal audits, equipment/gauge calibration, non-conforming material/product handling, and the overall Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system;
Mentorship of the Continuous Improvement and Green champs;
A proactive quality mindset, to anticipate and prevent issues before they occur.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to working across boundaries at all levels;
Knowledge of project management, tasking, analysis, recommendations, and implementation of changes toward quality improvement.

$101,334.00-$168,891.16 Annual This is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
