I. General Job Description


This position will direct Parts, Service, and Truck Sales operations through a team of frontline managers to achieve planned sales and profitability objectives, while adhering to established procedures for business conduct, safety, and personnel administration.

Responsibilities

  • Operations
  • Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, P&L statements and forecast data to determine progress toward states goals and objects for Parts, Service, and Truck Sales.
  • Oversee key projects, processes, performance reports, data, and analysis.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution and improved working relationships.
  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
  • Determine operations head count needs and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Business Development
  • Prospect for potential new clients to increase business opportunities.
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new product solutions and services.
  • Work with staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in the Class 8 heavy-duty trucking industry.
  • 5 years of experience in Class 8 parts, service, and truck sales management.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong Leadership and managerial skills.
  • Strong organization, communication, leadership, and managerial skills.

IV. Mental Capability Requirements

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department's credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
