Job Summary:
The Precision Coater applies coating to our products to create various components of our spacesuit.
*Essential Job Duties:
Understand, practice, and support safety standards in all work and in all locations
Operate and monitor automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the coating process
May be involved in the set-up, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
Inspect materials, components, and production equipment according to established standards
Ensure product assemblies meet production and quality requirements
Proficient in the use of required machinery/equipment

Associate Level
Performs routine assignments as directed
Learns to identify quality standards and apply to their own work product
Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment
Intermediate Level
Performs general tasks and completes routine assignments
Proficient in the coating process and in the use of associated equipment/ tools
Becomes more quality focused and accountable for work product
Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments
Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment
Senior Level
Performs complex tasks and completes assignments with little or no assistance
Fully proficient in work product using multiple techniques and manufacturing equipment
Proficient in identifying work product defects and required corrective actions; significant accountability for work product
Performs complex tasks and completes assignments with little or no assistance
Works under limited supervision with latitude for independent judgment
Advanced Level
Performs advanced tasks and completes the most-difficult assignments
Possesses advanced skill set and works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment
Fully proficient in identifying quality issues and corrections required; may serve on cross functional teams; accountable for their own work product and/or assigned team
May mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others
Qualifications:
Must be able to work on government contracts directly or access shared data resources (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.)
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent credential (GED)
Associate level requires 0- 1 year of experience; Intermediate level requires 1- 3 years of experience; Senior level requires 3- 5 years of experience; Advanced level requires 5 or more years of experience
Must be able to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak)
Must be knowledgeable of basic math and English measurement (versus metric)
Must be able to work all production shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or weekends)
Demonstrated communication and team collaboration skills
