We are seeking Bakery Oven Foreman to join our hard working and fast-paced team. Bakery Oven Foreman will assist in a variety of positions or tasks with the production of a variety of bread products. All work will be performed in accordance with SQF Food Safety procedures. Job tasks may change from day to day depending upon production needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Must be able to document information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Must be able to keep track of all topping materials used during shift and document that information.
• Must be able to keep track of all production sheets and logs during shift.
• Must be able to keep track of all employee’s locations during their shift.
• Must be able to set up a daily structure of break and lunch times for all employees on your roster.
• Must be able to determine proper time each product is in the proof box.
• Must be able to accurately measure temperatures of all baked products.
• Must be able to cover all stations of the department for break or lunch coverages or absent employees.
• Must be able to properly maintain oven at proper temperature and ensure quality bake of each product.
• Use proper pull/push/lifting/twisting/turning safe work methods.
• Must be able to adhere to safety policy in regards to handling hot pans/ovens mitts.
• Follow all company’s policies and procedures.
• Work in a safe manner at all times.
• Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
• Must uphold the Company’s Core Values.
• SHIFT & HOURS: New employees will be assigned to any workday: Monday through Sunday; and any shift: Day, Swing and/or Graveyard based upon production needs. A set schedule of days, shifts, and/or hours per week will be based solely upon the union bid process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Basic Math
• Previous experience in similar production duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a high temperature environment supporting fast paced machinery.
• Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
• Must have ability to work thoroughly with attention to detail to meet food safety/quality standards.
• Must be able to be productive when machinery is not operable.
• Must be able to work any day, including holidays, or any shift.
• Must have reliable attendance to meet employer’s attendance standards.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must join the union within 30 days of hire.
