(Contingent upon available funding): 17.00 - 20.75, Hourly Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders.  This position will be responsible for developing, proofing or editing limited curriculum components for the FPP Curriculum Team. This will include developing PowerPoints to support instructors teaching from FPP/IFSTA manuals based on style guide criteria. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that developed material meets high quality, accuracy, and accessibility standards. Education & Experience Position Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:


High school diploma/GED and four years of prior successful work experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.


Demonstrated understanding and application of FPP's organizational values: Service, Safety, Quality, Integrity, Excellence, Professionalism, Accuracy, Collaboration, Credibility, Innovativeness, Accountability


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office suite including PowerPoint. Ability to take direction and work with teams.



Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Language Arts, English, Technical Writing, Technical Editing, Journalism, Adult Education, or Occupational Education fields.


Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management systems, and web conferencing. Excellent time management skills. Experience with long-form and short-form editing.
