Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary:About Us: The Oklahoma State University Institute for Agricultural Biosciences (OSU-IAB) research initiative enables OSU to more effectively assist producers through the development of new or improved crops and crop production systems. To optimize opportunities for collaboration with the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Ardmore, Oklahoma was chosen for the institute's location. Research at the 33,000-square-foot facility focuses on basic and applied aspects of crop improvement through molecular biology, genetics, plant breeding and crop management. In addition to research laboratories and plant growth facilities, the IAB includes an auditorium and conference rooms equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunications systems for worldwide conferencing and distance education programs. For more information, visit: https://agresearch.okstate.edu/centers-institutes/institute-for-agricultural-biosciences/Position Details: This position is located at Ardmore, Oklahoma at the Institute for Agriculture BioSciences (IAB), Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. Maintain interior of building in a clean and orderly condition. Required attention to details in maintaining the facility and self-motivation to recognize needs of the facility and to follow-through with action required to complete assigned duties. Must be able to work cooperatively with staff to make sure that the entire facility is well maintained. Ability to work unsupervised while still achieving the needs of the IAB. Must be able to work with a variety of people assigned to the IAB facility. Ability to read and understand MSDA sheets, guidelines, written directions, and follow directives of supervisors. Required: High School/GED with one year related experience

Valid driver's license.


The ability to read and understand MSDA sheets and follow directives. May be exposed to various chemicals including cleaning solutions, fertilizer and pesticides. May require use of ladders and working at heights. Requires frequent and strenuous physical activity to include: standing, walking, bending and stooping.


Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. 


Preferred: Two years related experience.
