Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service Extension Educators are the "front door" to the University, providing a link between OSU and the people of the state in all 77 Oklahoma counties. The OCES represents a federal, state, and county partnership working since 1914. The mission of OCES is to disseminate information to the people of Oklahoma and encourage the adoption of research-generated knowledge. Extension Educators provide research-based information to clientele in the areas of agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development. Provides leadership and management for the overall county 4-H youth development program. The youth program includes a wide range of opportunities designed to foster positive youth participation and development. Approximately 90% of time is focused on youth development work with the remaining time spent programming in subject area for adult programs compatible with educational background. Participates as a cohesive team member to involve local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate the total Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) county program. Bachelor's in Agric., Fam. & Con. Sci., Educ., Soc. Sci. or closely related.  

The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service is seeking to fill educator positions. Base annual salary for entry level educators who have a master's degree is $41,000 and $37,000 with a bachelor's degree. Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. Extension educators hired with only a bachelor's degree are encouraged to work toward completion of an approved master's degree.Extension educators hired with only a bachelor's degree are encouraged to work toward completion of an approved master's degree.  

Valid Drivers License

Preferred:

Master's in Agric., Fam. & Con. Sci., Educ., Soc. Sci. or closely related.  

Success in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning experiences for youth and/or adults in community-based, non-formal education programs is desired.Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work is desirable.
