GENERAL SUMMARY:  This individual will teach college level courses in the Culinary Arts Program, within the School of Arts, Sciences and Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relative discipline highly preferred.  Other combinations of education and experience may be considered if relevant.


• Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.


• Five years industry experience as a working chef or executive chef.


• Teaching experience preferred.


• Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse constituencies.


• Must be a strong advocate for integrating technology into the delivery of instruction.


• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and human relations.


• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and resolve conflicts as necessary.


• Must exhibit characteristics of a team player.


• Must be willing to take initiative and assume responsibility.


• Instruction may consist of day and/or night classes, or distance learning.
