Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Responsible for monitoring and maintenance of Software, and equipment within numerous enterprise datacenters campus-wide, and is responsible for deploying and maintaining technology solutions. Requires full understanding of enterprise systems so they can take proactive steps to ensure system security, reliability and performance. In addition, a strong commitment to achieving the team's goals through constant communication and continuous improvement is essential to success in this organization.


Essential Duties Summary:



  • Document, track and monitor problems using internal ticketing system to ensure timely resolution and in turn, document accurately for future reference.

  • Serve as an escalation and primary contact for issues specifically pertaining to University's Transaction Systems, Point of Sale (POS) System, Integrated Card System, and various integration points.

  • Support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) - Banner that interacts with University's Transaction Systems.

  • Support various Third-Party Applications catering to Housing, Food Service, Student Success, Et. Cetera.

  • Provide technical support for University Event Management Systems.

  • Provide integrated support for the Police Department, and subsequent Security Systems.

  • Maintain hardware and software inventory systems to ensure accurate inventory records.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

Commensurate with experience.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required.


Required Licensing/Certification:

Certifications in Point of Sales software/hardware.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Knowledge of:


  • Federal, State, Local, and County laws.

  • Policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Specialized practices, equipment and procedures.

  • Microsoft's 2008/2012 Server OS platforms with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Active Directory.

  • Mobility equipment, including smartphone and tablet devices

  • Transactional Software Systems such as Transact, Quadpoint/Back Office, TSE Software Environment, etc.

  • Other job-related software and systems.

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.



Skill in:

  • Detail oriented.

  • Effective customer service.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Technical problems.

  • Multitasking and time management.

  • Both verbal and written communication.


Ability to:

  • Analyze and research for solutions.

  • Troubleshoot.


Work Experience:

Seven (7) years of job-related hands-on support experience. Must have Apple and PC hardware and software troubleshooting experience in a creative environment. Some experience with PBX or VOIP phone systems required.


Working/Environmental Conditions:



  • Routine office environment.

  • Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.

  • Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects light weight may be required.

  • Use of video display terminal.
