Tutors are responsible for helping students to understand different subjects. They assess, assist and encourage the students in the learning processes. These professionals also review materials used in classes, explain various topics, and answers all doubts and questions of the student regarding that topic. Their functions are a supplementation to the class room teaching.


Tutors usually perform many of the following tasks:


1. Develop student skills
2. Help students to improve their learning process
3. Detect specific needs of each student
4. Teach supplementary lessons
5. Create reports

Associate Degree

$11.00-$16.00 per hour

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
