Job Description:

Position Overview:

As the Business Intelligence Lead, you'll bring a background in data engineering, data visualization and analytic solutions. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, you will immediately affect and build our data acquisition and business intelligence strategies. You will show up each day obsessing over our challenges and drawing on your creative skills and collaborative nature to develop tangible data solutions. Your daily responsibilities will include partnering with your teams to convert business questions and high-level data collection needs into data models which support reporting requirements while promoting a self-service analytics environment with domain and tool expertise. You will support the Analytics and Data Science teams on our journey through digital transformation.

What You'll Do:

• Influence and grow our Business Intelligence (BI) practice by providing expertise on data engineering, data visualization tools and concepts, and creating standards of data engineering for the BI team




• Partner with team members in Analytics, Data Science, and Technology to identify best practices for data usage




• Facilitate gathering of complex data requirements from start to implementation




• Create data engineering pipelines of medium and high complexity




• Collaborate with our data analysts to help create data pipelines and data models to build reports, dashboards and insights




• Collaborate with our Information Technology team members on building pipelines for self-service analytics enablement




• Mentor junior team members in best practices of data engineering and data modeling

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree




• Advanced (7+ years) experience with SQL and stored procedures in a data warehouse environment




• Advanced (7+ years) experience building data pipelines and workflows using ETL tools like Informatica Powercenter/Cloud, Azure Datafactory or custom python ETL tools.




• Intermediate (3+ years) experience using building python based ETL using Pyspark on Databricks




• Intermediate (3+ years) experience building database models for data visualization tools such as Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or Looker




• Hands-on experience creating dimensional data models supporting a self-service reporting and dashboarding environment




• Hands-on experience building data warehouses and data marts with cloud databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle ADW, Azure SQL Server




• Hands-on experience with Data Lake and Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling and Kimball methodology




• Experience learning modern analytics tools and frameworks
