Position Purpose Supervise custodial operations to ensure timely and sufficient custodial coverage to include: Plan, schedule and coordinate tasks, assign daily, weekly, and monthly projects. Maintain knowledge and familiarity of university facilities, university policies and procedures, FPO policies and procedures, chemicals and equipment. Oversee projects in progress and hear and resolve customer questions and complaints. Supervise custodial staff to include: interview, recommend new hires to Assistant manager, train employees, schedule staff, inspect work to maintain quality, conduct performance appraisals, hear and resolve employee questions and concerns, administer discipline according to University and FPO policies and procedures, and maintain confidential files on each employee. Coordinate safety training and enforce safety rules and regulations. Assign daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to employees. Assist Assistant Manager to include: prepare reports and compile statistics, monitor and recommend expenditures for the budget. Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, scheduling practices, etc. to ensure optimal utilization of resources. Assist in the communications with all departments to ensure customer service is foremost and their needs are met. Assist in the design, planning and execution of projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience 1. Two years custodial experience in a University, hospitality or healthcare facility environment required. 2. Six months lead worker or supervisory experience required. Seasonal/Summer lead experience in Housing Custodial preferred.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:
Driver's license, Missouri license required

Other Special Working Conditions Casual dress appropriate for job duties Must wear personal protective equipment. May be required to be fit tested for respirators, which requires a physical exam.

Other Special Qualifications Must obtain certification in Hazardous Materials/Hazardous Materials Communication and Bloodborne Pathogens within one year of employment.
