We are looking for a Site Safety Intern who will support and promote Mullins' safety culture. They will use discretion, independent judgement, and professional skills to plan and implement safety policies and procedures that apply to their jobsite's scope and needs.

Responsibilities
Support and assist with the promoting of Mullins' safety culture at the jobsite level.
Assist with the implementation of Mullins' policies, processes, and procedures.
Continue learning and understanding all local, state, and federal construction-related safety regulations and laws.
Collaborate with Site Safety Coordinators to understand and maintain emergency response and crisis management plans.
Assist with the completion of on-site new hire safety orientations.
Acknowledge and celebrate safe behaviors and actions of others.
Attend and participate in GC/subcontractor meetings as needed.
Assist with conducting regular safety inspections and review safety compliance of work on jobsites.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of detailed inspection reports and findings to on-site management.
Assist the Site Safety Coordinators with creating and executing Site-Specific Safety Plans.
Assist with investigating all incidents and near misses and assist with the completion of an Accident, Incident or Near Miss Investigation Report, and ensure appropriate reporting to the Site Safety Coordinators.
Build proficiency with ProCore.
Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in construction safety with desire to learn about local/state and federal rules and regulations. (OSHA 1926 and 1910, ASME, NFPA, OSHA 1915 when applicable, etc.).
Ability to travel to job sites and to stay at remote locations for extended periods of time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and conflict/resolution skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions in a timely manner.
Ability to work long hours as needed (10 or more hours per day).
Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to push/pull more than 10lbs on a regular basis and be able to traverse uneven terrain, stairwells, ladder ways, and other vertical means of access/egress.
On-site construction experience in safety minded roles is a plus (such as fire watch, hole watch, safety lead, safety committee member, etc.).
OSHA 30-hour Certification is a plus.
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is a plus.
Safety training/certifications in areas such as Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Excavation and Trenching, HAZCOM, etc. are a plus
