Job Description
This position will be responsible for supporting market and competitive intelligence projects, ad hoc research projects and requests, support client focused strategic planning, FedSavvy Strategies service development. The candidate will be responsible for providing marketing research, competitive analysis, business strategy for both externally driven client projects and internal needs.
This position will involve direct interaction with clients during facilitated Black Hat reviews (competitive intelligence enabled war games) and other delivery of market and competitive intelligence work products. This position also supports market intelligence and research projects to enable long-term strategic planning and business development operations.
We are currently operating 100 percent remote. This is subject to change. Ideal candidates are in DC, MD or VA. That is not a hard requirement.
This is targeted as an entry level position.
Desired qualifications
Understanding the general organization of the U.S. Government
Research techniques using open source information and resources
Ability to develop briefings on complex topics tailored to an executive audience
Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex topics to management and executive level audiences
Demonstrating problem-solving skills through intellectual curiosity to solve problems presented in new and novel manners
Maturity and accountability are critical to take ownership over projects assigned...start what you finish
Creativity and resourcefulness to help us grow as a business
Preferred qualifications
Documented market and competitive intelligence projects as a student or professional
Work supporting and/or executing Black Hat reviews is ideal
Formal training in intelligence and analytical techniques used in national security environments is highly desirable
Competitive Analysis (SWOT, Key accounts, Strengths in each of our target industries, how we differentiate, summary of offerings by competitor, estimation of competitor pricing, detailed reviews for each competitor)
Market Research (Market Segmentation, Market sizing, Target Customers, Industry leaders/influencers)
Familiarity with public sources of information such as SAM.gov, USASpending.gov, ITdashboard.gov, etc.
Experience developing databases and/or programming in Python is highly desirable
Education and skills:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a discipline involving heavy reading, synthesizing information and communicating output in detailed written reports
Proficiency in software products such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
