Job Description:

PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty-three-year-old private oil and gas company located in the Galleria/Uptown area of Houston, TX. With the ongoing expansion of our operations across multiple areas in the US and the launch of a second investor fund, the company is seeking a key individual to fill the position of Regulatory Compliance and Production Assistant in our Houston office.

The Regulatory Compliance and Production Assistant will work alongside an experienced team in the Environmental, Health, Safety Regulatory and Production Department, providing support to PO&G's efforts to maintain compliance with state and federal rules and mandates.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities including:
  • Filing various compliance documents to state and federal agencies
  • Assist with gathering data from Engineers, Field Foreman, or other departments for submissions to agencies, contractors, or other company staff
  • Track and notify staff of upcoming compliance testing and manage data and deadlines on the shared regulatory compliance calendar
  • Develop an understanding of compliance test procedures and interpreting their results
  • Assist with implementing, maintaining, and updating a standard digital file structure for the department
  • Work closely with Regulatory Analysts or management to identify project priorities
  • Assist with cross-departmental projects as needed
  • Assist with clerical functions as needed by the department
  • Assist Production and Operations departments with various tasks as needed

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Oil and gas experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Self-starter who can proactively manage the job functions and proactively communicate with management
  • Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving; hands on worker
  • Well organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to work 5 day a week in the office
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
