We are continuing to grow at a rapid pace and are seeking a Head of Media Strategy to help support our diverse and growing client roster.

The Role

Dedicated to upholding our high standards, we are looking for a Head of Media Strategy with a passion for digital marketing, data-driven optimization and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

As the Head of Media Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive media strategies for our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of integrated media campaigns across various digital platforms. The Head of Media Strategy will own Strand's media strategy and vision across our client roster. You will be prioritizing business development proposals while working with our internal team to identify the right publisher mix. This role will own media planning and forecasting.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the overall media strategy for clients, aligning with their business goals and marketing objectives
  • Act as an expert advisor for affiliate and partner program strategies by continually evolving Strand's approach to best practices, staying on top of emerging trends and representing strategic perspectives to clients and the industry
  • Develop strategic partnerships with affiliate and publisher networks
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of media campaigns, ensuring seamless integration across multiple channels
  • Own sizing and forecasting with new brands
  • Identify growth opportunities with existing clients
  • Partner effectively to bring channel capabilities and best practices to life as part of a broader integrated offering
  • Own team level oversight of financials, operations, and technology
  • Lead forward-thinking strategies in partnership with your team, identifying testing or roadmap opportunities to advance client program sophistication and impact
  • Serve as a strategic voice in business development and pitch scenarios, demonstrating expertise and thought leadership to win new business
  • Collaborate effectively with senior client leaders on program strategy, identifying new ways to drive client business results
  • Partner internally with technical teams to develop or influence products (measurement or operational) for the affiliate channel
  • Lead the team toward scaled operations, anticipating proactive needs for a growing team

The right candidate will:
  • Have 10+ years of experience leading media strategy
  • Be an industry expert and thought leader, you are comfortable speaking on panels at conferences
  • Be focused on industry trends, you can "see around the corner" and proactively identify new ways to grow media business
  • Have enterprise experience preferably direct to consumer with strong digital agency experience and/or or digital lead on the client-side
  • Have deep media experience, has built long lasting and meaningful relationships within our industry
  • Effectively grow client relationship and establish trust and credibility
  • Influence client stakeholders to evolve strategies and measurement approach to drive enterprise impact
  • Be a curious, driven, natural leader
  • Have the ability to move quickly while maintaining an extremely high quality of work and accuracy
  • Provide subject matter expertise at team, department, and cross-functional meetings
  • Be a proactive, clear communicator, with strong writing skills, and comfortable with tough discussions, while being respectful and solutions-oriented

Hybrid: This role is required to be in person at our beautiful, fully stocked Hermosa Beach location Tuesday-Thursday each week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
