The Role
As a Studio Manager at JoVE, you will be responsible for overseeing, supporting, and managing the creative and design team to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate has experience running internal studios, and is a creative marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - a love for science is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Managing an international studio team and overlooking the execution of each project
Planning the studio schedule and individual workloads of an in-house team of motion graphic designers and marketing writers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard (and, where relevant, within budget)
Liaising with the Director of Marketing and the Global Campaign Director to understand business and project needs
Working with internal colleagues to receive and formulate briefs, offering design solutions where required
Developing defined and well-articulated internal processes between the design team and colleagues, communicating processes and SLAs
Creating and implementing monthly deadlines, project goals, expectations, and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with on-time delivery
Continually looking for ways of improving our ways of working and making our processes more efficient
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience as a Studio Manager
Proven track record in overseeing, supporting, and managing global and regional projects
Experience setting up and implementing organizational procedures and processes
Experience managing an international team of designers and writers, driving quality and efficiency
Experience working with project management tools to manage team schedules
