We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our growing team! We design, build, and deploy clean-sheet automation and manufacturing solutions for technologies of the future including electric aircraft, commercial spacecraft, batteries, satellites, and clean energy. Our projects vary widely, but a common thread is that they are all custom designs, and in most cases when we build the system it is the first time it has ever been done.
The Engineering Technician's main role is to assist our team of mechanical and electrical engineers in the assembly, testing, shipping, and installation of the custom automation and tooling equipment that we design here at Perellion. Your responsibilities will change from week to week depending on which projects need assistance. This is a full time position at our site in Mukilteo. Having prior experience with machining or machine assembly is required.
Job Requirements:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Assemble equipment based on verbal instructions or specifications in drawings and written instructions
Check and inspect work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
Perform other related duties for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe, and effective work environment
Be proactive, helpful, and collaborative. Our work is complex, we're a great team to work with and we expect you to be a team player as well.
Basic Qualifications
Proactive, organized, and hardworking
3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, machining, and/or installation
Ability to communicate effectively and proactively in a dynamic team-based shop environment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions
Strong mechanical competence, with the ability to use hand and power tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, the military, or other reliability-focused operating environment
Experience in a production environment
Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)
Ability to change roles/responsibilities as needed
Experience with machining, welding, inspection, and other machine shop or fabrication shop-relevant skills
Experience operating laser trackers, interferometers, or similar precision optical measurement/alignment equipment
