Job Description:

Our client, who is a leader in placenta donations and the development of birth tissues, is looking to grow their team near you! They are looking for someone with clinical experience and top-tier bedside manner to join their efforts in changing lives. As the Placenta Donation Coordinator you will take charge of implementing their policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Execute tasks regulated by AATB, FDA, and relevant agencies.
  • Adhere to company SOPs and training for donor identification, consent, and tissue acquisition.
  • Perform duties without disrupting hospital operations, prioritizing patient experience.
  • Obtain and clarify informed consent from diverse patients.
  • Assess donor risk and provide accurate feedback.
  • Collect and document blood specimens with chain-of-custody.
  • Retrieve pertinent patient medical records.
  • Manage scheduling accurately in a dynamic environment.
  • Conduct aseptic tissue acquisition procedures, including OR involvement.
  • Document all activities accurately and promptly.
  • Provide patient and staff education.
  • Label, package, and ship specimens.
  • Maintain high situational awareness and communication.
  • Review records for completeness and accuracy.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Preferably 2 years of clinical experience (e.g., CST, RNs, CTBS).
  • Associate's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or Nursing preferred.
  • Successfully pass background checks, drug screenings, and periodic retesting.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Capable of performing aseptic tissue acquisition procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional bedside manner.
  • Effective communication with diverse individuals, including patients and hospital staff.
  • Perform well under pressure without compromising quality.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Advocate for the altruistic benefits of organ and tissue donation.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds.

Compensation: $50k-$55k + commission/per tissue (Average $11,500 yearly)
