The Payroll Manager will lead Trinity's payroll function, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. They will also be a true "player-coach" that combines leadership of the payroll function while executing payroll tasks of their own.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains, updates, and reviews the payroll processing system and processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions for employees in the U.S. and Canada.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Partners with the Human Resources group to drive process improvement and accuracy of data and pay transactions
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Extensive experience with ADP software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
10+ years of related experience required.
Experience with ERP systems and a solid understanding of employee data-flow from ERP to Payroll
