The Select Group is looking for a talented Service Representative to join one of our top utilities partners. This person will work at their Escondido, CA location to manage all construction service orders from inception to construction completion for new gas and electric service installations, remodels, upgrades, relocations, and removals of facilities. This role will perform a mixture of support duties to support the day-to-day operations.
SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE REQUIREMENTS
years of experience in a Customer Service, Customer Support, Call Center, or Customer Contact Center role
providing over-the-phone support
with Outlook, Excel, and ability to navigate internal systems to retrieve information
to gather and document detailed and conclusive information from customers regarding their requests
detail-oriented and ability to perform data entry tasks to ensure data is entered quickly and accurately
to problem solve and investigate information
communication and follow-up skills
to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage time-sensitive tasks
Bonus skills:

working with third-party contractors and crews
SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
for all incoming customer requests via phone lines, web base, and Customer Contact Center
research to determine scope of work involved and gather all information associated with the customer requests (i.e., pulling maps, calling customers to get information, etc.)
with Service Planners, General Contractors, Electricians, Plumbers, Service Crews, Trench Inspectors, District Dispatchers, Gas Engineering, New Service, Customer Contact Center, and Right of Way
internal systems SAP to assign project and job levels and maintain job status
all Service Planner work, planner files, and identifies the need for permits and secures them through appropriate personnel
schedules (via mobility application) electric service crews to install, remove, or re-attach services and dusk to dawn lighting
with district Dispatchers to schedule gas service crew work, field memos, and PE work orders
all orders for accuracy and completeness, documents and files all service work
orders are construction ready (i.e., necessary permits, rights of way, traffic control plans, and monies)
and educate customers on processes and procedures
customers/contractors of job completion and determines, initiates, and coordinates any follow-up activities required
