Job Description:
Position SummaryThis full-time position is responsible for device assembly, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Good hand-eye coordination to perform assembly operations with hand tools and equipment under a microscope.
- Follows and documents bill of materials, work instructions and test procedures.
- Measuring and recording performance metrics using dimensional equipment.
- Operate within a quality management system documenting operations performed using a manufacturing traveler.
- Monitor equipment calibration certifications required for assembly operations.
- Assist engineering and work under minimal guidance and supervision.
- Reports status of ongoing assembly activities to immediate supervisor.
- Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures.
Education - High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- 5 years assembly experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, works under deadlines and apply technical skills.
- Ability to work under a microscope.
- Hand Soldering experience in medical or electronic industries.
- Experience using UV adhesives and thermal bonding for assembly.
- Catheter assembly and testing experience a plus.
- Willingness to be trained on Good Manufacturing Practices and company procedures.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and training ability.
- Ability to exercise sound decision-making and good judgment.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, to handle multiple tasks, and to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Expertise in prototyping and manufacturing methods appropriate for the medical device industry.
Physical Requirements
- 5-6 weeks of on-site training will be conducted at Provisio Medical's Rancho Bernardo location.
- Permanent position will be located at Provisio Medical's Carlsbad location.
- May require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Employer may make reasonable accommodations to help some physically challenged employees.
