Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced HR director to plan, manage, develop, lead, and coordinate organizational policies, procedures, and HR personnel to ensure legal compliance and application of human resources strategies and organizational mission. The human resources director will manage HR operations recruitment, selection and on-boarding process, The HR director will develop and implement human resources programs through training, coaching, and counseling employees.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Collaborate with senior leadership to gain insight into the business objectives and strategies associated with employee relations, recruitment, retention, training programs, and company culture.

·         Develop and implement policies and training and improve HR processes.

·         Execute initiatives and create surveys to support and optimize human resources strategies and compliance.

·         Oversee or administer human resources programs, including benefits, compensation, disciplinary issues, leave, the investigation into disputes, talent and performance management, morale and recognition, workplace health and safety, development, and training, etc.

·         Identify recruitment and employment relations and needs, and develop and implement HR practices, such as hiring and talent management.

·         Monitor and ensure the company’s compliance with state, federal, and local legal requirements, and suggest the best practices, modifications, and reviews to maintain adherence.

·         Ensure implementation and compliance with organization Affirmative Action Program.

·         Facilitate compliance with New Market Tax Credit and other related programs.

·         Stay updated on the best regulatory measures, practices, and new technologies in human resource management, employment law, and talent management, and apply this in-depth knowledge to communicate any alterations in policies, practices, and resources to senior management.

·         Develop and apply departmental budgets.

·         Measure job satisfaction among employees.

·         Participate in management of Employee and Labor Relations

·         Perform other duties as per the requirements of the organization.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software

·         The ability to learn and utilize the organization’s human resources software

 

EDUCATION:  

·         Required: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other human resources-related fields.

·         Preferred: A master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other human resources-related fields.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Required:

o    10+ years of HR experience required HR Leadership with (500+ employee) manufacturing/DoD/Government Contractor environment

·         Preferred:

o    SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification

o    Labor relations/union experience and exposure

o    HRIS system experience

o    Multi-lingual


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.

·         Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile

·         May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways.

·         Prolonged durations of working on a computer and sitting at a desk
