LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for a client in Pleasanton. Non-profit experience is highly recommended. This will be on-site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
The Role This position is responsible for full charge bookkeeping in the Accrual basis of accounting
It requires adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and internal practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements
Duties include, but are not limited to, journal entries, bank reconciliations, analysis of general ledger accounts, preparation of statistical reports and financial statements, receiving and coding invoices, reviewing expense reports, and maintenance of the inventory asset system.
What We Are Looking For
This position requires an Associates
Degree in accounting, business administration or a minimum of five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience related to the area of Accounting or Finance is required
Good understanding of accounting concepts and principles (GAAP)
Knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable concepts
Intermediate to advance level in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
Analytical and detail oriented
Highly organized and motivated
Excellent typing and data entry skills
Excellent communication skills, both by phone and by written correspondence
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software, Management Reporter a plus
This position will pay between $40 to $50hr depending on experience, skill and background.
