JOB DESCRIPTION



Wood Group is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to support our Willow Project. The successful candidate will be required to be in the office 3 days a week; Mondays and Fridays can be remote. Candidates must be required to work in our West Park office three days a week. International candidates need not apply, no moving allowances will be considered. Candidate must possess previous EPC experience, no candidates will be considered that do not have previous Oil& Gas EPC experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of specific aspects of supply chain management including expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting of major procurement packages/subcontracts. They will also be responsible for the supervision and guidance of directly reporting supply chain specialists/associates.


This position requires a clear understanding of the client's head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and knowledge of how these are integrated into project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions. Has working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, interfaces with Wood legal/commercial experts and can under guidance initiate/discuss adaptations in order to reach a robust commercial agreement.


Regularly reports progress of all procurement activities for which they are responsible. Ensures direct reports regularly update reports/systems with required information to allow accurate reporting, and escalates any critical issues and risks to project management.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

•Accountable for the successful delivery of all supply chain activities that they are responsible for.
• Responsible for the end to end sourcing process (Strategy through Close Out) for the major procurement/subcontract packages assigned to them.
• Provides guidance, direction and support to the reporting personnel in delivery of their specific responsibilities.
• Provides guidance, direction and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Woods and the suppliers specific contractual obligations and responsibilities.
• Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures.
• Assisting with development of processes and procedures, and communication to relevant personnel.
• Update the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times, notifying any delays to the supply chain lead.
• Attend regular PSR meetings with client, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables within their portfolio are being maintained.
• Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and reviews tasks as assigned to direct reports.
• Utilization of Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection

• Carry out Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required.
• Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable.
• Ensures that direct reports have a clear understanding of their role, supply chain processes and procedures and provides guidance, direction and support.
• Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times.
• Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours.
• Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework
• Assist in applying robust performance management and development plans for direct reports
• Capture all internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan.
• Assist in the implementation of global/regional/country initiatives as per business plans.



QUALIFICATIONS



Qualifications:

Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent), CIPS qualified or industry equivalent. Record of skills training appropriate for job specific role.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Minimum of 7 years SC experience demonstrating results.

• Detailed knowledge of Suppliers, commercial Evaluations, Negotiations and Terms and Conditions of Purchase/Contract.
