Job Description:

The Monetization Backend Services teams support integration points between KTD applications and a third-party vendor. We are working to in-housing the systems supported by the third-party vendor, but that process is expected to take some time (> 1 year). In the meantime, the team will support the integration with the vendor and help to build new features as required.

This person will be working with members of the existing team to support the current integration. This includes building new features and supporting the runtime operations of the integration.

Longer term, they will be involved with migrating the integration to our in-house platform. They will work closely with the team building that capability to ensure a seamless shift while maintaining operations.

Responsible for participating in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Establish estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. - Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or a STEM major
- 3+ years of successful and applicable experience taking a lead role in building complex software ad automation systems that has been successfully delivered to customers
- 3+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems
- 3+ years of successful and applicable hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and industry competition
- Deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations
- Understanding of network and security architecture
- Demonstrated written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skills
- Proven ability to think and contribute at the strategic level

• Strong Java/Kotlin development skills with an understanding of development and architecture patterns.
• Monitoring/alerting and SLO management experience at scale. Needs to understand and have history with larger scale deployments.
• Good communication skills with the capacity to bridge discussions between technical and business owners.

- Implement high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state solution
- Lead the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
- Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes and, practices
