A role you will love


This position is within the Computershare Corporate Trust Tax Operations Team. The Tax Manager III will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire REMIC team, which consists of 11 or more US employees with work allocations to an additional 16 India employees. (there is not direct people management of the India team, however there is management over the work flow and deliverables for that team).



  • This role is responsible for developing and implementing systems to compile information for various federal income tax matters (Returns 1066, 1065 and 1041, along with Widely Held Fixed Investment Trusts, and Debt reporting).

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of technical income tax and/or accounting discipline and positively influences processes, policies and procedures consistent with corporate values and federal tax and state tax laws.

  • Applies change management principles to enhance efficiency and develop continuous improvement implementations.

  • Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns and/or consultation on income tax issues.

  • Scope of the role requires that ability to independently evaluate complex REMIC and cashflow issues and apply sound business judgment with minimal oversight.

  • Manages a team of tax professionals and provides functional advice, direction and/or training while maintaining risk controls.

  • Additionally, the role will establish operational objectives and assignments, delegates assignments to tax employees and supervises the work of the employees. This role also will work directly with business partners, India leaders, internal audit, external audits, business control and may work directly with the IRS from time to time.



What will you bring to the role?


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of tax and accounting experience or related Securitization Tax Experience
  • 3+ years of management experience, or comparable supervisory work or work direction
  • Strong problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail


Desired Qualifications:
  • CPA, or other applicable credentials such as Masters in Taxation or Finance
  • Understand securitization tax concepts and deal structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including excel.

Compensation.The base pay range for this role is $96,000 - $120,000. This base pay range is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
