Coding and data analysis for high priority value-based care projects
Ideal Background:
Bachelors and/or masters degree in health services research, health economics, biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, sociology, psychology or equivalent)
3+ years experience programming in SAS (including proc SQL)
3+ years' experience supporting health services, health economics, and outcomes research
Team and Team size:
There are 4 other team members consisting of analysts and scientists that the candidate would partner with
Top Responsibilities:
Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to extract, aggregate, and manipulate pharmacy and medical claims for analyses to support ad hoc data requests
Participate in interpretation of business requirements and creation of technical specifications including data dictionaries and programming specs
Perform statistical analysis, and generate reports to answer research questions
Perform quality control checks on code, data sets, analytic outputs, research manuscripts and other deliverables
Skills/attributes Required
3+ years' experience with administrative claims data, EHR/EMR data, or complex relational health care databases required.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience using large administrative claims assets from health plan/payers
