Job Purpose

As the Director of Retail Marketing, you'll play a crucial role in driving the marketing strategies for key retail accounts. The Director of Retail Marketing responsibilities will revolve around developing and executing trade, retail, and consumer marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, increase sales, and foster strong relationships with our retail partners. The Director of Retail Marketing will forge strategic partnerships with retailers to expand distribution channels and collaborate with retailers to secure prime shelf space, offering exclusive promotions and discounts.

Key Areas of Responsibility
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies tailored for retail accounts, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
• Account Management: Support sales team on account service, understanding their needs and aligning marketing efforts to drive mutual growth.
• Campaign Execution: Develop and implement targeted trade, wholesale, and consumer marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, increase sales, and support brand positioning.
• Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional events, product launches, and incentives to drive engagement and sales growth within retail and wholesale accounts.
• Marketing Collateral: Create compelling marketing materials, including presentations, sell sheets, and other relevant content to support sales efforts and enhance brand visibility.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Use data insights to optimize future strategies.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the consumer goods (CPG) or beverage industry, with a focus on wholesale, trade, customer, or retail marketing.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for retail accounts.
• Channel marketing for Big Box, Club, Mass, Natural, Grocery highly desired.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Shopper marketing experience highly desired.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Compensation

$140,000-$175,000 DOE
