The Regulations and Government Relations Engineer is responsible for conducting vehicle and engine testing, data collection, processing, and analysis. In addition this person would also be responsible for writing reports and preparing technical presentations for both internal management and external customers.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of working principles of internal combustion engines
In-depth knowledge of alternative propulsion technologies such as hybrid systems
Vehicle system knowledge
Understanding of federal requirements as they pertain to vehicle performance and emissions testing
Understanding of CARB and international regulatory requirements as they pertain to engine and vehicle testing including fuel requirements
Needs excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to interpret code of federal regulations and communicate the findings effectively
Ability to understand and adapt to vehicle and powertrain the testing environments
Understanding of basic principles of engine and powertrain calibration
Bachelor engineering degree, preferably Masters (can be ME or EE)
