Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Estimator at UTILITY CONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS, LLC located in Cohoes, NY. UCS is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team. In this role, the individual will
be responsible for preparing estimates utilizing material, labor, and overhead costs, and managing
awarded projects. The ideal candidate will handle multiple concurrent bids, possess expertise in
estimating utility projects, and demonstrate proficiency in project management tools. Regular site
visits to monitor progress, collaboration with field personnel, and managing project profitability are
key aspects of this role. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safety and customer
satisfaction are integral to a successful Estimator.
The Project Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with project estimation, cost management, communication, budgeting, and construction estimating including:
? Project Assessment: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to
understand the scope and requirements of projects.
