Job Description:
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:The Fleet Coordinator will work directly with the Fleet Manager to oversee the procurement and maintenance of company vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with third-party vendor to ensure full compliance with DOT requirements.
- Work with our family of companies and third-party vendor to ensure that we are maximizing benefits of repairs and subrogation.
- Work with third-party vendor to administer national account of rental cars.
- Work with our internal Safety Department to administer and ensure usage of third-party vehicle cameras and GPS.
- Generate reports, purchase orders, memos, and other documents as needed.
- Provide assistance to the Fleet Operations Manager in finding and securing vehicles and/or equipment as needed.
- Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
- Establish and maintain recordkeeping system for purchasing department.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of clerical experience preferred.
- Knowledge in DOT regulations and requirements is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
