Summary of the Role:

?The Plant Manager is responsible for the day to day operations for our TSS Pawling facility. The Plant Manager will successfully lead and direct the local operations, maintenance, customer support, quality, and finance teams. Additionally, the Plant Manager will partner with the business to achieve both short term and long term financial operating goals while aligning with Trelleborg's Core Values.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Develops a strategic manufacturing/capability plan to meet the market needs and organization's overall business plan and agreed objectives of sales, profit, cash, on time delivery, quality and other performance targets.
  • Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure facility goals are established and driven to support Corporate goals and objectives.
  • Motivates team to generate sales revenue and profits to meet or exceed budget expectations.
  • Collaborates with Quality and Regulatory team to ensure SOPs are followed, corrective actions are implemented and repeated occurrences are resolved timely.
  • Partner with Human Resources to determine talent needs, improve employee engagement, performance management and overall alignment to the business unit's organizational structure.
  • Works with direct reports to communicate and update goals and/or metrics illustrating objective evidence of improvement.
  • Allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
  • Set and monitor performance of the plant against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management.
  • Provides monthly reports to communicate the financial KPI and overall management performance.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant's production capabilities.
  • Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures (in conjunction with corporate subject matter experts) to ensure that the plant meets its current and future production targets and quality standards.
  • Drives key metrics regarding quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure CapEx projects are completed on time and in budget.
  • Performs process audits to monitor procedure and policy conformance.
  • Collaborates across functional areas to implement needed improvements (tools, equipment, procedures, forms, training materials etc.)
  • Actively promotes and builds a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish a champion a 5s protocol for the site.
  • Conducts quarterly communication meetings to review performance, production, project status and initiatives.
  • Provides a safe and clean working environment and health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance in Production and Tooling.
  • Ensure continuation of quality accreditations to support the Aerospace business.
  • Implementation and maintenance of control and reporting systems for the effective management of the business. This will also include the implementation of a new ERP system.

Education and Experience:
  • 4 year degree in Engineering, Operations Management or any related field.
  • 8 years of operations experience.
  • 5 years experience leading a team.
  • Previous &L responsibilities.
  • Experience with Lean Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 preferred.

Travel:
  • Up to 10% domestic and international.
