SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position provides engineering support and project management for plant operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plant engineering/capital projects. (Scope, cost, justification, timing and execution)
Cost reduction and workflow optimizations to improve plant efficiencies.
Identify and implement productivity improvements.
Oversee plant infrastructure to maintain and enhance reliability, i.e. compressed air, chilled water and tower water and electrical distribution.
Provide general plant engineering support as required.
Provide engineering, PPE, or training solutions to high exposure areas based on near miss or incident reports.
Development of training documentation for equipment and best demonstrated manufacturing methodology. Improve preventive Maintenance program through growth of E-Maintenance.
AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma + 5 years in manufacturing and maintenance experience
Required: 3 - 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience with emphasis on utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment as well as project execution
Preferred: Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel and Project). Experience in plastics manufacturing equipment. Maintenance experience and project management in complex capex projects > $250K
Drawing Skills: 2D CAD drawing skills for plant layouts and equipment requests. 3D modeling capability is a plus
Industrial Electricity and Controls:
Basic knowledge of industrial power distribution
Basic understanding of ladder logic and control systems
Pneumatic Control design is a plus
